Annah completed matric at a rural school in Ellisrus. She was involved in athletics at school. On completing matric, she stayed at home for two years before raising enough money to attend Pinnacle Business College in Pretoria. Until Annah joined Pinnacle, she had never had access to computers before, as there were no computers at her school. Without knowing anything about the word of IT, she decided to embark on her course as she felt it would be something new and exciting.

Annah completed an Applied Information Technology course, which included visual basic, C and C++. She completed her course in 2003 and has struggled to find employment, especially since, Ellisras is a very small town and employment is limited, especially in IT.

Annah comes from a large family of seven sisters, all supported by her father. Three of her sisters also work and assist in supporting the family
