Compuware to demonstrate new version of DevPartner suite at Microsoft Tech - Ed 2005Compuware Corporation is showcasing and demonstrating the integration of its quality solutions - DevPartner and QACenter - with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System at Microsoft Tech-Ed 2005. Compuware's solutions across the application life cycle enable enterprises to build, test and manage high-quality applications using Microsoft technologies. These solutions work together to deliver value to enterprises that depend upon mission-critical applications to remain competitive in increasingly complex and demanding business environments. "Compuware is a founding member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry
Partner (VSIP) Program, and we are pleased to have its continued support
of Microsoft Visual Studio," says Prashant Sridharan, group product
manager in the .NET Developer Product Management Group at Microsoft Corp.
Compuware will give Tech-Ed attendees a technology preview and demonstration of the upcoming version of DevPartner Studio Professional Edition. Version 8.0 will support and integrate with Visual Studio 2005, offer enhanced support for Web services, introduce new performance analysis capabilities and offer basic features of the DevPartner family's new error-simulation solution, DevPartner Fault Simulator. Compuware will also showcase its two recently launched DevPartner products at Tech-Ed:
Also at Tech-Ed, Compuware will preview the next release of QACenter Enterprise Edition's functional testing solution, TestPartner. Compuware TestPartner 5.4 will offer automated functional and regression testing integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System. By extending Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System test capabilities to include Compuware TestPartner's GUI testing, organisations will lower project risk and maximise productivity. This gives developer's integrated access to the same testing assets as testers, allowing them to find and resolve errors more quickly, enhance communication and collaboration while improving application quality. "Compuware shares Microsoft's vision for an automated application development life cycle that reduces the complexity of delivering modern service-oriented applications," said Catherine de Klerk, technical consultant at Compuware SA. "Compuware's quality solutions, DevPartner, QACenter and Vantage for application performance management, complement the Microsoft application development life cycle to help teams efficiently deliver high-quality, production-ready applications and deploy with confidence." Compuware is using a Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) theme to illustrate
the importance of maintaining security and optimising the performance
of your applications. Each delegate at Tech-Ed will receive an 'evidence
file' in their delegate bag, which contains a crime scene report and pieces
of evidence collected from the scene of Mr A P Plication's death. Delegates
are asked to file a 'detectives report' at the Compuware Security Intelligence
(CSI) unit to stand a chance to win many prizes.
