Latest Compuware products boon for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 developers

Compuware Corporation's latest versions of its popular DevPartner products will be a boon for development teams working with the recently released Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

Microsoft Visual Studio is an advanced integrated development environment that lets programmers create programs which run on Microsoft Windows and the world wide web.

The new developments from Compuware, DevPartner Studio 8.0 and DevPartner Fault Simulator 1.5, enable Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 development teams to efficiently deliver high-quality, production-ready applications, and deploy with confidence across the application development life cycle.

Catherine de Klerk, Software development expert at Compuware in SA says DevPartner Studio 8.0 and DevPartner Fault Simulator 1.5 are just the first of many Compuware products planned to support Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 Team System.

According to Forrester Research, most development shops understand that the cost of repairing a defect increases exponentially as the application proceeds through the life cycle. But fewer shops know what they can do to identify defects early on.

Compuware solutions help organisations find problems in the development cycle as early as possible, where problems are less costly to repair.

"By seamlessly integrating into Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, DevPartner Studio 8.0 and Fault Simulator 1.5 make diagnosing problems a breeze. With these products, developers learn best practices and methods that enable them to streamline functions and procedures as well as find memory leaks, performance issues and simulate faults in their applications. By diagnosing problems early, they are able to find and fix problems faster," concludes de Klerk.
